Downton Abbey Dollhouse

Downton Abbey Dollhouse

Isn’t that Violet, Dowager Countess of  Grantham, sitting by the fire in one of the parlors? On the wall, that’s young Lord Grantham. He was so handsome in his younger days.

It’s a Downton Abbey Dollhouse room on the German Ebay! If only I’d  had the bidding price of 2,000 Euro. Item number 38045063115. The bidding ended early, oh well, the price and the style… It wasn’t coming in to my collection anytime soon, too Edwardian and not Atomic at all, but I do love Downton Abbey.

There’s Lady Mary, dreaming about Matthew and Lady Edith looks like she’s up to no good. She’s insanely jealous.

Oh no, Daisy left the empty log basket and the coal shuttle behind when she lit the bedroom fire. Mrs. Hughes is going to be very upset and she’s sure to get a scolding from Mrs. Pratmore.

Are you like me watching reruns till season three of Downton Abbey is released, for us Americans?

Here’s another Edwardian Palace  currently being offered on the German Ebay for 2,900 Euro. Item number  260980899503. Hurry you only have 5 days left to bid. OOPS , something is wrong the kitchen is supposed to be downstairs.

Carson  has ordered the Drawing Room prepared with tea and biscuits for Cora, Countess of Grantham and Violet, Dowager Countess. They are still meeting to continue strategizing to overturn the entail arrangements for the inheritance of Downton Abbey. Will that ever get resolved?… the way we hope…?

This is Lord Gratham’s private study where he will have a glass of wine and read the paper. The World War I has ended, so what will he find in the news today?

Mrs. Pratmore is also having a mid day break. Imagine that? I never see her sitting. Well once… when Lord  Gratham told her she was going to London to have the procedure on her eyes.  She almost fainted and apologized for having to sit. And who is the child with her…..?  This must be a child from season 3. Who has a child that would play in the kitchen? Maybe Anna and Mr. Bates?

Oh look, it’s another peek in to season 3… another child. That must be Lady Sybil’s daughter, the first grand daughter. I bet Grand Papa spoils her. Isn’t she cute? I wonder what her name will be. Any guesses?

You have to see the exterior. It’s a real dollhouse castle. It’s a little rough, but someone must have treasured it. It’s in great shape for it’s age.

The stone masons got lazy on the back wall…

As you can tell, my imagination is running wild, as I wait for season 3 to air. I hope you enjoyed seeing my Ebay dollhouse finds, as much as I did in finding them. Please share any Downton Abbey thoughts you may be having… dollhouses or not. We have to find a way to make the time pass quickly. Do you think Mary and Matthew will actually go through with it?

I’d like Lady Mary and Matthew to marry. I’d also like to see Lady Edith with the older man – Lord ? And I would like Anna and John Bates reunited. And I’d like to see Thomas and O’Brien again. So, I also am looking forward to seeing Downton Abbey 3 in the USA.

Ditto. I want them all to be happy and in love… especially Lady Mary and Matthew. I’ve been trying to figure out what it is that has captured such a large audience. Some of it has to be credited to creative suspense filled writing and I think the acting is exceptional. Is it me or do the characters say so much with just their eyes. I just have to look at Lady Mary’s eyes and I know how she is feeling. The characters can be so transparent… in a good way…. just my thoughts. Its not easy waiting for season 3.

Yes! The first time I saw Downton, each scene felt like literature. I agree, eslaliepcy with the facial expressions. Just think of Mary and Matthew’s eyes when they’re around each other. The best movies, books are always the ones that focus on the subtle drama of the every day. No car chases, explosions, ghosts needed. Because we’re all just really looking for stories of human connection. Incredible post.

Yes, I think all good actors know how to speak with their eyes. Matthew and Mary have very expressive faces. And you do feel a connection with them when you can read what they’re feeling. Like you, one of my first thoughts in becoming hooked, was that I have to see if this story was based on a book. I enjoyed your insights.
          Cheers!

I think series 2 is sprinliag out of control. I would joke that someone’s long lost unknown twin is going to show up, but I wouldn’t put it past them at this point! My dream couple is Lord Grantham and Mr. Bates. Or, a cracked door and any other character.Twitter Name:
